The Chapter coordinator is responsible for maintaining communications with all Section chapters and assists them.
The usual term of office is 1 year. Term of office begins in January until the end of December. The time needed to fulfill this volunteer position is approximately 7 hours per week.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain communications with all Tunisia Section Chapters
- Assist with Chapter management and find meaningful solutions to concerns and problems raised by Chapters
- Distribute and present Chapter officer training materials developed by MGA Board volunteers and MGA Department Staff as provided by IEEE Operations Center Staff
- Be familiar with and advise Chapter officers of resources available to them through IEEE Operations Center
- Foster better Society, Section and Chapter cooperation through efforts to improve the understanding of mutual responsibilities and the effectiveness of member services delivery
- Identify and clarify problems with Chapter meetings, activities and arrangements of potential concern to all officers and appointees having Chapter responsibility
- Provide a regular report to the Section Executive Committee about status of chapters
- Passes on to successor all relevant records of office at the end of term
Qualifications:
- Must be an IEEE member in good standing
- Must be an IEEE Graduate Student Member, Member, or higher
- Must reside in the geographic boundaries of the Section
- Must be a member of a sponsoring Technical Society
- Chapter officer experience
- Ability to spend sufficient time and energy to help chapters
- Ability to respond quickly to communications by email
