Rising Star Award

Purpose:

The purpose of this award is to recognize annually IEEE new members having less than two years of membership within the IEEE Tunisia Section and who have provided valuable achievements.

Prize:

$150 to be used as a travel grant by the selected member to participate in any IEEE conference/congress.

Funding:

Funded by the IEEE Tunisia section

Eligibility:

Any active IEEE member for less than 2 years of membership and living in Tunisia. The candidate receives no remuneration for his achievement. The awards committee members are not eligible.

Basis for Judging:

The evaluation of the achievement will be based on the following criteria (if applicable):

  1. (10 points) number and quality of the performed activities (technical and/or volunteering activities)
  2. (10 points) exceptional administrative, managerial and leadership achievement
  3. (10 points) implementation of innovative IEEE programs
  4. (10 points) impact on the industry, economy, government and society
  5. (10 points) impact of the achievements from the point of view of theory, technologies, and/or applications
  6. (10 points) quantity and quality of the outcomes
  7. (10 points) length of service to the Section
  8. (10 points) participation in Volunteer Leadership Training (VoLT) Program
  9. (10 points) participation in international IEEE programs and challenges
  10. (10 points) volunteering as a a student leader in IEEE unit

Presentation: One award will be given per year. The award will be announced and presented at a section meeting.
