IEEE Tunisia Section Rising Star Award

Purpose: The purpose of this award is to recognize annually IEEE new Student members and new Professional members, having no more than two years of membership within the IEEE Tunisian Section and who have provided valuable achievements.

Award description: $150, funded by the IEEE Tunisia section, to be used as a grant by the awarded member to participate in any IEEE event.

Eligibility: Any active IEEE member for at most 2 years and living in Tunisia in the applied category (IEEE membership date, as a student or as a professional, should not be before 15 December 2019). The applicant had not received any financial remuneration for his/her achievement. The awards committee members are not eligible.

Evaluation criteria: The evaluation of the rising achievement is based on the following rating scale (if applicable): 

  1. (20 points) number and quality of the performed activities (technical and/or volunteering activities);
  2. (10 points) exceptional administrative, managerial and leadership achievement;
  3. (10 points) implementation of innovative IEEE programs;
  4. (10 points) impact on the industry, economy, government and society;
  5. (10 points) impact of the achievements in terms of theory, technologies, and/or applications;
  6. (10 points) quantity and quality of the outcomes;
  7. (5 points) number of received grants from IEEE global and IEEE R8;
  8. (5 points) the total amount of personally received grants from IEEE global and IEEE R8, or any IEEE program;
  9. (10 points) number of personal IEEE Tunisia previous recognitions;
  10. (10 points) a number of participations to international IEEE events.
