ENIS 2022 Doctoral School Sciences & Technologies


The Doctoral School Sciences & Technologies (EDST) of the National School of Engineers of Sfax (ENIS) is co-organizing with IEEE SSCS Tunisia Chapter the 3rd doctoral days of the ENIS (EDST Days 2022). The Days will be held from May 20 to 22, 2022 at the ENIS. These days present an opportunity for doctoral students, researchers, and people from industry to meet and exchange their know-how in promising sectors, such as electrical engineering, information technology and other topics of interest to the ENIS doctoral students. It will be an opportunity for doctoral students to present and discuss the progress of their research work with internationally renowned specialists. The days of the Doctoral School will also be an opportunity for doctoral students to validate the doctoral credits necessary for their doctoral training. Doctoral students are invited to participate in these days by submitting a summary (one page). Submissions will be evaluated by a scientific committee. Accepted abstracts will be presented, during the days, in the form of posters. Virtual:



3M4Q COMPETITION May 21st, 2022 National Engineering School of Sfax The competition 3M4Q (3 minutes to answer 4 questions) will be organized on Saturday, May 21st, 2022, during the days of the Doctoral School Science & Technology (JEDST). During the competition 3M4Q, participants are to deliver a short talk in a presentation to convince a diverse audience of the interest of their PhD research. In the 3 minutes talk, they should answer these 4 questions: The choice of their PhD subject; the way it was tackled; the impact of their research work; and the sustainability of the research results. To be able to participate in this edition of the competition 3M4Q, you should: - prepare a 3mn video recording as explained above, and - belong to a Tunisian University, and - be either a PhD student in the final phase of the thesis, or a new doctor (thesis defended after Oct. 1st, 2021) Submissions, in French or English, should be done online using this form: 3M4Q JEDST 2022. These will be peer-reviewed based on: A. how the 4 questions are approached (10 points); B. clarity of the presentation (10 points). Based on the review results, the best submissions will be short-listed. Respective students (15 to 20) will be notified by email and should attend the competition in person. On the day of the competition, the evaluation will be based on feedback from the scientific committee, professors, and guests from the industry. Electrical car project

the three past months were quite intense as we tried to start the electric car project by creating a youtube channel where both the project manager and the training manager took charge of helping our members gain some basic knowledge about different concepts on which the electric vehicule manufacturing is based. It took on various subjects like suspension, chassis design, steering and transmission which are mainly mechanical subjects. It also took on other subjects like lithium-ion batteries, the AC motor, the regenerative braking system which are mainly electrical subjects. There's also an astonishing playlist taking on the design part from car body styles to interior design. Added to that, there's a playlist called safety,sensors and autonomous driving. Smart Garden Project

The smart garden project is a garden that works autonomously without human intervention. The goal is to automate the gardener's deeds in a way that makes plants grow while dealing with the continuous change of external factors. The first prototype is an IOT automatic system that can optimize tomato's growing phases and its quality.
