The NRTF 2025 Hackathon will be a 24-hour challenge where teams will tackle a complex problem revealed during the opening ceremony on April 19th. Throughout the event, experienced coaches will guide and mentor teams, offering support and advice to ensure success. After the 24-hour period, a pre-selection process will identify the top teams, who will pitch their solutions in a final session. Awards will be given to the best projects, recognizing creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills. IEEE PES ENET'COM Student Branch Chapter have planned a series of engaging activities to inspire PES members and educate children about energy and sustainability during IEEE PES Day. On April 22th, members will have the opportunity to visit Haouaria Eolien Park to deepen their understanding of renewable energy. On April 23th, in collaboration with IEEE WIE ENET'COM Affinity Group ,IEEE PES ENET'COM Student Branch Chapter will celebrate PES Kids Day with interactive activities, including a Q&A session, a Kahoot quiz, and a workshop for kids at a primary school in collaboration with . This workshop aims to boost awareness about the current environmental situation, highlight the importance of renewable energy, and teach children about the 3Rs of the environment: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. The IEEE PES ENICarthage SBC organised the event "Powering Tomorrow: Smart Grids & Renewables" which is a part of the IEEE PES Day 2025 celebration. The goal of this event is to raise awareness about the critical role of Smart Grids and Renewable Energy in building a sustainable energy future. Through workshops, interactive challenges, and discussions, we aim to inspire innovation, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing among participants, empowering them to contribute to a cleaner, greener world. Tunisia Time (UTC+1): - 2:00 PM – 2:15 PM | Opening Speech - Introduction to IEEE PES Day & event objectives. - Highlighting the significance of Smart Grids and Renewable Energy in achieving a sustainable future. - 2:15 PM – 2:45 PM / 3:00 PM | Smart Grid Workshop - Led by Madame Houda Ben Attiya, PhD, covering Smart Grid technology. - Exploring the benefits and real-world applications of Smart Grids, and their role in improving energy distribution and efficiency. - 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM / 3:45 PM | Renewable Energy Workshop - Led by a potential expert speaker, providing insights into renewable energy sources, challenges, and innovations. - Discussing key renewable technologies and their role in addressing climate change and promoting sustainability. - 3:45 PM – 4:05 PM | Coffee Break with Musical Pause - Networking opportunity with refreshments. - A relaxing musical interlude to facilitate informal discussions and connections among participants. - 4:05 PM – 4:15 PM | Video Screening on Renewable Energy - Showcasing clean energy solutions and their global impact. - A brief discussion to reflect on the video’s message and its relevance to the energy transition. - 4:15 PM – 5:45 PM / 6:00 PM | Creative Challenge - Quiz Competition: Testing knowledge on Smart Grids, Renewable Energy, and sustainability. - Recycling & Eco-Creation: Hands-on sustainability challenge where participants engage in eco-friendly creations. - Pitch Challenge: Participants present innovative energy solutions and ideas for a sustainable future. - 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM | Winners Announcement & Prize Distribution - Recognizing outstanding contributions from the Creative Challenge. - Prizes and certificates awarded to winners based on their creativity, knowledge, and innovative energy solutions.
